Hi - I'm Charlie, a writer, digital marketer and soon-to-be novelist, working at Northfarm Studio, Insight Tracking and finishing up the book Stealing From Thieves. 

I was born and raised in the coastal town of Santa Cruz, California, learning to surf at a young age. I studied  journalism at a small southern California college, where I met my Norwegian girlfriend (now wife).  

After a stint as a newspaper reporter, my wife and I started  a series of publications together including a nationally distributed  magazine on home fitness (with a little help from our friends)  while also bringing up a couple of kids! 

Since moving to Norway, I've embraced  the Scandinavian life while keeping the entrepreneurial and creative spirit alive, launching an ad agency, a collaborative software-as-a-service company, and staying active in the Oslo start-up scene and singer-songwriter community.
